One of Scotland’s most remarkable wildlife success stories can be found at Loch of the Lowes, near Dunkeld in Perthshire. The famous Osprey Nest attracts thousands of visitors each year who come to witness these magnificent birds of prey returning from Africa to breed in the Scottish Highlands.
Managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, the reserve provides excellent viewing opportunities throughout the nesting season, which typically runs from spring until late summer.

The open square offers excellent views back towards Edinburgh Castle and is a wonderful place to pause and soak up the city’s unique character.
Continue your journey towards Princes Street, Edinburgh’s famous shopping boulevard. Here, visitors can enjoy views of the beautiful Princes Street Gardens, with the striking silhouette of the castle rising above the trees.
